Ernest E. Herman Jr.

Ernest E. Herman Jr., 92, of Gap, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Pocopson Township, PA. He was the husband of the late Laura Mae White Herman who passed away in 2017. Born in Pomeroy, PA, he was the son of the late Ernest Sr. and Marian Warden Herman.

Ernest was an area resident most his life. He worked in the chemical test lab for the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Westwood Fire Company, the Gap VFW, and the Goddard Masonic Lodge of Coatesville.

He is survived by his children, Robert A. (Kathy) Herman of Kinzers, PA, and Cynthia (Andy) Collison of Gap, PA, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and siblings, Anne Gillespie, Mildred Kuhn, and Kathy Klaus. He was preceded in death by grandsons, Eddie and Chris Vernon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Masonic services will be held just prior to the 11:00 a.m. service. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville.
