Ernest Amoriello

September 28, 1936 — June 15, 2024

Ernest Amoriello, 87, of Coatesville, PA, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, June 15, 2024.  He was the husband of Florence (Lewis) Amoriello  for over 69 years.  Born in Downingtown, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Cozzone) Amoriello.

Ernest was an area resident all his life.  He worked for multiple companies, including Faddis Brothers for 15 years, Jesse Smith Excavating for 15 years, and Dorrie Construction for 12 years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Rose (Mark) Von Hacht of Orangeville, PA, Butch (Elaine) Amoriello of Coatesville, PA, Teresa (Matt) Long of Honey Brook, PA, and John (Melissa) Amoriello of Parkesburg, PA, grandchildren,Stephanie, Nicholas, Amber, Jessica, Tommy, Emily, Riely, and Tanner,  great-grandchildren, Isabella, Charli, Ethan, Bentlee, Emmalee, Alicia, Riyah, Rowan, and Cloud, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Amoriello, and siblings Mary, Frankie, Tony,Johnny, Joe, Janet, and Rosie.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Chester County Memorial Park in West Chester, PA.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
