Emily Mcginnis

Emily McGinnis, 81, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of William W. McGinnis with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Spring Mill, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Ella (Wolfe) Swanson and Harvey Swanson.

Emily held various occupations during the course of her life, including work as a Bank Teller in Norristown and a School Aid at Friendship School in Coatesville. She was an avid Gardener and enjoyed baking and bird watching in her spare time, above all she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Emily is survived by three children, Susan Pedrick wife of John of Coatesville, Nancy Carr of Parkesburg, and David McGinnis husband of Tracey of Gap; two siblings Leo Swanson and Nels Swanson both of Schwenksville, PA; 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
