Emily M. Amole Garris

Emily M. Amole Garris, 83, of Atglen, passed away on Wednesday, July 31 in Paradise, at her daughter Virginia's home.  She was the widow of William L. Garris, Sr., who passed away in 1991.

Born in Bondsville, Chester County, Emily was the daughter of the late Emma (Harpel) and Albert Amole.

She was a member of the Atglen Baptist Church, the Atglen Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion of Kennett Square.

Emily is survived by her children: William Jr., husband of Edith, of Kinzer, Michael, husband of Penny, of Christiana, Denny, husband of Sandy, of Narvon, Glen of Florida, Harvey of Paradise and Virginia Kelchen, wife of Steven, of Paradise; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia A. Garris.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery.  The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.
