Ellis J. (Jim) Haines, 83, passed away on Tuesday, 12 August 2014.  Born April 18, 1931, Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, his daughters, Susan Durborow (Jim) and Barbara Haines, and sons, Robert Haines (Sandy) and Thomas Haines (Jennifer), as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Forever a soldier, Jim served with honor and distinction in the Korean War and the Viet-Nam War. Jim’s passion for his family was his greatest strength; he will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
Obituary
Ellis J. (Jim) Haines, 83, passed away on Tuesday, 12 August 2014.  Born April 18, 1931, Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, his daughters, Susan Durborow (Jim) and Barbara Haines, and sons, Robert Haines (Sandy) and Thomas Haines (Jennifer), as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Forever a soldier, Jim served with honor and distinction in the Korean War and the Viet-Nam War. Jim’s passion for his family was his greatest strength; he will be forever cherished by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2:00pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a viewing from 1 to 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in his name to either The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Downingtown Post 845, 4601 West Lincoln Highway, Downingtown, 19335, or to the Disabled American Veterans at http:www.dav.org/veterans/ .
