Elizabeth Broomell

Elizabeth Broomell, 93, of East Fallowfield, surrounded by her daughters at her home went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2014.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Young) and Charles O'Brien.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Broomell with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.  Together Frank and Elizabeth raised five daughters.

Patricia Panik, wife of Timothy, of Coatesville, Jackie McCarter, wife of Thomas, of West Chester, Shirley Yuzwiak of East Fallowfield, Dolores (Dode) Cook, wife of Allen, of East Fallowfield and Bobbi Jo Broomell of Parkesburg; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Gertrude McElyea of Downingtown.

Elizabeth also known as "Tootie" was employed by the A&P grocery store chain in Caln for 25 years.

Her family and her home were most important.  She enjoyed cooking and having the entire family over for big Sunday gatherings even if there was no occasion.  Her grandchildren will remember Easter egg hunts and 4th of July parades.

She will be remembered for her love of family, pride of home, her great laugh and her many stories.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery of East Fallowfield.  The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.

Memorial donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to Chester County Food Bank, 650 Pennsylvania Dr., Exton, PA 19341.
