Elaine W. Reiter

Elaine W. Reiter, 87, of Honey Brook, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at her residence at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community. She was the widow of the late Richard Orr Reiter who died in 1988. Born in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Wright, Sr. and Elizabeth Hagy Wright.

Elaine was a 1956 graduate of the Coatesville High School and a 1960 Graduate of the West Chester State Teachers College. She taught the 2nd grade for Caln Elementary School for six years, from 1960 to 1966.

She was a member of Brandywine Grange #60, the Chapel Road Baptist Church, the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society, and the Fallowfield Historical Society.

She is survived by one daughter Kathleen J. Reiter-Hardy of Pottstown, PA, five grandchildren; William J. Reiter, Melanie E. Smith, Zachary J. Hardy, Sierra B. Hardy and Bruce J. Wemett, Jr., six great grandchildren; Ruca R. Reiter, Haysie E. Reiter, Jordyn A. Brown, Jaelyn A. Brown, Giavanni G. Wilson and Scarlett J. Eisenhauer and a dear sister-in-law and friend Helen Davis also of Tel-Hai. She was preceded in death by one daughter Gayle E. Reiter-Besash.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Road, West Chester, PA.
