Elaine Patton

Elaine Patton, 100, of Highland Township passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Born in Coatesville she was the daughter of the late George Milton Hayburn and Esther C. (Wert) Hayburn. She was the beloved wife of John L. Kissell who passed in 1974 and remarried Jim Patton who passed in 2007.

Elaine was a 1942 graduate of Scott High School and went on to serve as a medical secretary for most of her adult life.

She was a long-time member of Friendship United Methodist Church where she played both the piano and organ for many years. She rarely missed church and loved talking and interacting with friends and family.

She is survived by one sister: Carolyn Wagner of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by siblings: Ethel Wood, Margaret Denny, and Joanne Cook.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Friendship Church, 123 E. Friendship Church Road., Coatesville, Pennsylvania 19365. There will not be a visitation period leading up to the service, but please arrive with enough time to receive a memorial folder and find seating.
