Edwin Neil Powers, 67, of Brecknock Township, passed away on Friday, May 27th, 2022 at Reading Hospital.
Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Neil was the son of Betty (Brown) Powers of Phoenixville and the late William Powers, Sr.
He was happily retired and enjoying life. He worked as a car salesman, most recently for Hershey Motors and previously for Jeff D'Ambrosio.
Neil was an avid baseball fan. He pitched and played third base for Newtown Edgemont in the 1967 Little League World Series. Later in life, he played for the West Chester Adult League. Neil coached and helped establish Twin Valley Little League for both baseball and softball. He was an avid Phillies fan who also enjoyed NASCAR, the Philadelphia Eagles, and playing and watching golf.
Neil enjoyed all things chicken, BBQs & gatherings, having a laugh, listening to music, and was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his three daughters: Racheal Powers of Honey Brook, Katie Wentworth of Honey Brook, and Kendal Manning of Narvon; grandchildren, Jordyn, Johnny, Dominick, Alise, Maddie, Liliana, Savannah, and Vivian; siblings, Cheryl Powers, Barbara Cain, Donald Powers, and David Powers; and the mother of his children, JoAnn Piombino Powers.
Neil was predeceased by two siblings, William Powers Jr. and Darlene Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10th, 2022 from 1 pm until 4 pm at The Elks Banquet Facility located at 401 W. Washington Street, West Chester, Pa 19380.
