Edward Lewis Bardonski

November 5, 1946 — May 13, 2024

Edward Lewis Bardonski, 77, of Scranton, passed away at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center , where he resided since 2011. Born in Coatesville, the son of the late Walter L. Bardonski and Rose E. Bardonski.

Lewis was an area resident of Coatesville most of his life and a 1964 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and did a one year tour in Vietnam.

He was employed as a Sports Statistician most of his life.

Lewis loved mathematics, good potato chips, real life situational comedy, classic western movies and science fiction. He admired Walt Disney, Theodore Geisel, and Jim Henson (most of all). He was witty, generous, and mostly intolerant of people who were either rude or narcissistic. Lewis was an avid reader. He was brilliant at billiards and quite a decent card player. (eg, Texas hold ‘em.) Occasionally he attended mass, often enjoyed good music, and always appreciated meaningful conversations. He showed generosity to fellow vets at Gino J Merli and received compassionate care. He was a brave soldier and faithful friend.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Hibernia Methodist Cemetery, 220 Hibernia Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320.
