Edna K. Alberger

Edna K. Alberger, 91, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Hickory House Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Kerr Alberger and from the age of eight she was raised by Susie Lynch.

Edna was a Parkesburg resident since 1933 and a 1943 graduate of the Parkesburg High School. She was employed by Bell Telephone for 46 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church, the AARP and the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge about the history of Parkesburg.
She will be missed by many friends and her two special caregivers; Kathleen G. Kerr and Jean Moulder.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Atglen Baptist Cemetery. Visitation from 10 to 11am.
