Edith S. Hershey

July 22, 1929 — August 3, 2017

Edith S. Hershey, 88, of Parkesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3rd at Fairmount Homes of Ephrata.  She was the widow of the late Lester D. Hershey, who passed away in 1991.

Born in Leola, Edith was the daughter of the late Metta (Martin) and Noah P. Steffy.

She was a member of Parkesburg Mennonite Church.

Edith is survived by her six children: Clair E. Hershey, husband of Pam, of Parkesburg, Daniel L. Hershey, husband of Janet, of Parkesburg, Charles L. Hershey, husband of Becky, of Narvon, Janice E. Glenn, wife of Bill, of Parkesburg, L. Duane Hershey, husband of Joy, of Coatesville, and Mervin L. Hershey, husband of Donna, of New Holland; daughter-in-law, Sheila Williamson of Ephrata; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and siblings, Marian King of Atglen, and Harriet Kepiro of Ephrata.

Edith was predeceased by her husband, her children, David Hershey, Metta Marie Hershey, and Margaret Sera; and her siblings, Chester, Allen, Jason, Faith and Alberta.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday evening, August 7th from 6 until 8 PM at Parkesburg Mennonite Church, 6 E 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365.  The Celebration of Life Service will be held the following day at 11 AM at Parkesburg Mennonite Church with Pastors David Gehman and Henry Hershey officiating.

The burial will be held privately at Paradise Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Gideons International PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214
