Earl A. Pierce, Sr.

Earl A. Pierce, Sr., 87, of West Caln Twp., died on February 27, 2015, at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA.  He was the beloved husband of Margaret Gay Barnes Pierce for over 33 years.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harry and Helen Miley Pierce.
Earl proudly served in the US Army from 1945 to 1947. He was employed as an automotive mechanic and worked for Bob Bee and Donald Flynn.  He was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association, The Eastern Motorcycle Club and the Retread Motorcycle Club. He also attended the Sandy Hill Community Church. He enjoyed woodworking, especially making birdhouses, riding motorcycles and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by the four children, Paula Pierce of Jacksonville, FL, Earl A Pierce, Jr. of Conyers, GA, Roxanne Barnes of Gap, PA and William Barnes of Coatesville, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Gooch Pierce in 1979, one daughter Jan Marlyne and two siblings; Jean Beck and Louis Pierce.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg with visitation from 10am to 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Southeastern Veterans Center, 1 Veterans Drive, Spring City, PA 19475.
