E. Catherine Mcbride

E. Catherine McBride, 95, of Glenmoore, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late N. Albert McBride, who passed away in 1962.

Born in Uwchlan Twp., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Linderman Gottier. She had attended the Windsor Baptist Church of Eagle, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She also attended the Forks of the Brandywine Church in Glenmoore. She had been employed at the Atlantic Thrift Shop of Frazer and Strawbridge's of Exton, retiring 23 years ago.

She enjoyed her flower garden and lawn work and working with her great grand sons as well as the many other children she watched over the years.

She is survived by her daughter, Faye D'Alessandro, wife of Edward of Glenmoore; granddaughter, Catherine Sheller, wife of Scott and great grand sons, James and Benjamin Sheller; siblings, Mildred Stine of Downingtown, Elsie Yonce of Honey Brook, Rita Good of Downingtown, Richard Gottier of Chester Springs and Ruby Ziegler of Coatesville. She was predeceased by 11 siblings.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Forks of the Brandywine Cemetery of Glenmoore. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home on both Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 10 until 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Catherine to the Willow Tree Hospice, 100 Sycamore Dr., West Grove, PA 19390.
