Dr. Norman Max Warner

Dr. Norman Max Warner, 95, of Parkesburg, died on Friday, January 8, 2010 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Edna F. Ward Warner with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Reeders, Pa., he was the son of the late Milo N. and Alice Butz Warner.

He graduated from Muhlenburg College and the Hahnemann Medical School, where he earned his MD.

Doc Warner was an area resident most of his life and faithfully served the community as a physician for over 50 years. He was the past President of the Chester County Medical Society . He was also a member of the Alpha Tau Mega Fraternity at Muhlenberg, the Flying Physicians and the Quiet Birdmen as well as the Brandywine-Goddard Lodge #383 F & AM Masonic Lodge of Coatesville, the Rajah Temple of Reading and past President of the Royal Order of Jesters.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Coatesville.

He is survived by three siblings, Betty Rowe of Elizabethtown, Harry Clinton Warner of Reeders and Nita Morris, wife of Randell, of Reeders, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dr. Warner's memory to either the Parkesburg Point Youth Center, P.O. Box 731, Parkesburg, PA 19365, the Parkesburg Fire Co., 329 W. 1st Ave Parkesburg, PA 19365 or the Parkesburg Ambulance Assoc, 329 W. 1st Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365.
