Dorothy M. Proudfoot

Dorothy M. Proudfoot, 93, of Columbia, formerly of Gordonville, Strasburg and Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, October 2.

She was the widow of Elwood Proudfoot who passed away in 1999 after they had shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Pomeroy, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Verna Paltnay Ammon.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Patricia P. Settle, wife of John, of Ronks; two grandchildren, Kathy Kramer of Ronks and Brian Settle of Lancaster; three great grandchildren, Brittany Settle, Amanda Kramer and Derik Kramer; and her sister, Jean Mowrer of Lancaster.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 2 p.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. The viewing will be private.
