Dorothy Josephine Riley

Dorothy Josephine Babel Riley, 88, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, in West Chester. She was the wife of Robert A. Riley of Parkesburg. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Helen M. Taratylo Babel.

Dorothy was an amazing mother, grandmother, and mentor. She was a homemaker and worked for a short time at Pepperidge Farm as a baker and also as a home decorator. She enjoyed painting, fishing, and especially her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, W. Patrick Riley of Sunbury, PA, Erin Riley-Hubbert, and her husband, Kyle, of Quarryville, and Michael T. Riley of Parkesburg, grandchildren, Keri Bortz, and her husband, Brian, of Herndon, VA, and Jeff Milliron of Quarryville, and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Corinne, and Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry, Mary, Frances, Caroline, John, and George Jr, and her grandson, Kenny.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Hopewell Cemetery, 825 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA 19335 .
