Dorothy J. Halterman

Dorothy J. Halterman, 79, of Ronks, PA, formerly of Parkesburg, died at her home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Elmer F. Halterman with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William P. Kolodski, Sr. and Dorothy J. Hart Kolodski.

Dorothy was employed by the former American Hardware Distribution Center in Parkesburg.
She was a member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and had attended the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Parkesburg. She was also a member of the Chris-Penn Chapter #455 Order of The Eastern Star where she served as Matron, Worthy Matron and District Deputy.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two daughters; Darlene Garver and husband Paul of Ephrata, and Patricia Welsh and husband Randy of Parkesburg, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two siblings; Mary Mymern of Michigan and William Kolodski, Jr. of Honey Brook.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Eastern Star services will be performed at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 11 Independence Way, Newark, DE 19713.
