Dorothy I. Landis

Dorothy I. Landis , 82, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community in Columbia, PA. She was the widow of the late Frederick E. Landis, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late John Ralph Hess and Gladys Irene Gordon.

Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of the former Parkesburg High School.

She is survived by three children; Timothy Landis of Britton, MI, Melissa Rosengarten and husband Jeffrey of Havertown, PA and Deborah Nierhaus of Pottstown, PA; three grandchildren: Samantha Skiles, Allie Rosengarten, and Alexander Rosengarten. She was preceded in death by her son David E. Landis and her brother, J. Ralph, Hess Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2 PM at Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, 19365. A viewing will take place from 1 PM until the start of the service. An interment service will directly follow at the adjoining cemetery.
