Doris M. Hutchins Gaska

Doris M. Hutchins Gaska, 87, formerly of Coatesville, PA, passed from death to life January 24, 2017 after battling Alzheimers.

Born in Ridley Park, PA to James S. and Minnie K. Hall Hutchins. She worked at Westinghouse as a keypunch operator for over 20 years until she married Stanley P. Gaska in 1971. She then worked for Chemical Leaman in the mail room until 1986, then as a child care provider at the Y. Doris loved music, played the piano for church and Sunday school children, swimming, vanilla ice cream, coconut cake, parties, and was a gold star buyer and sender of beautiful Hallmark cards to her many friends.

After Stanley’s death in 2004, she moved in with her sister, Martha Moore (Larry) and stepmother, Ruth Hutchins in Columbus, OH.

She is survived by her brother, Charles H. Hutchins (Jane) of Guilford, CT and stepdaughter, Beverly P. Gaska of Winston Salem, NC. Sister, Helen M. Heisler died in 2003. Burial will be at Octorara Cemetery in Parkesburg, PA by Wilde Funeral Home .
