Doris M. Hammaker

Doris M. Hammaker, 79, of Parkesburg, died on Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Chester County Hospital. She was the widow of the late Robert Hammaker and her first husband Michael J. Carrick who died in 1957. Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Beatrice Dunlap Hanna. Doris was lifelong resident of Parkesburg who was always looking out for her family and neighbors. She was also passionate about her flowers.

She is survived by three children; Margaret E. "Peggy" Andrews and Dorothy M. Carrick both of Christiana and Mick J. Carrick and wife Debbra of New Holland, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two siblings and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home from 10 to 11:00 am.
