Doris C. Diem

Doris C. Diem, 79, of Parkesburg, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at her home. She was the widow of the late Harold E. Diem, Jr. who passed away in 1982 after they had shared 29 years of marriage together.

Born on September 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clyde J. and Olive G. Althouse Cain. An area resident her whole life, she was a 1948 graduate of the Parkesburg High School and a 1952 graduate of the Millersville University. Doris was a substitute teacher for the Octorara School District.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ellen Prazenica, wife of John, of Freedom, Pa., Joanne Kennel, wife of Harold, of Quarryville, Pa. and Rebecca Wilson, wife of Sascha, of Phoenix, AZ. and six grandchildren.

Doris' Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with the Rev. Mark Beideman presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
