Donald J. Mackenzie

Donald J. MacKenzie, 56, of East Fallowfield, died on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Science Building, Vitas Hospice Care Unit, Darby, PA. Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of Alexander and Joan Clark MacKenzie of Downingtown. Donald was an area resident most of his life and a 1970 graduate of the Downingtown High School. He was a self employed house painter.

He is survived, in addition to his parent, by four sisters; Noreen Spencer of Florida, Christine Chase of New York, Lynn Werkheiser of Coatesville and Barbara Avoeline of Lancaster, three brothers; Scott of Birdsboro, Gary of Maine, Sean MacKenzie of Downingtown and companion Patricia Green of East Fallowfield.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10:00 am to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Care Unit, Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Science Building, 1500 Lansdowne Ave. Darby, PA 19023 or Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
