Debra L. Cooper Cotten

June 12, 1955 — May 30, 2018

Debra L. Cooper Cotten, 62, of Coatesville, Pa., passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was under Hospice Care at Harston Hall, Flourtown, Pa. Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of Madelyn B. Wilson Toole and the late Ronald Toole, Sr.

A 1973 graduate of Octorara High School, Debra lived in Chester County all of her life.

Most of her professional career was in the food service industry, having earned and maintained her Pennsylvania Food Safety Management Certification for many years. She retired in 2008 from The Devereux Foundation Center as the Head Chef and Supervisor of the Kanner Learning Center Kitchen in West Chester, Pa, providing meals for hundreds of students and staff daily.

She is survived, in addition to her mother, by one son Brenttyn J. Cooper of Coatesville, two grandsons; Brenttyn Cooper, Jr. and Leonard Jared Cooper of Virginia, three brothers; Dr. Richard M. Cooper of Wilmington, DE, Jeffrey A. Cooper of Parkesburg, Ronald J. Toole Jr. of Morgantown, an aunt, Barbara M. Cole of Douglassville, Pa., and a host of cousins, nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by her Grandparents, James and Emma Wilson of Parkesburg, two Uncles, Fred Wilson of Parkesburg and James Wilson, Jr of West Chester and her nephew, Avery Coleman of Atglen, Pa.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
