Deborah J. Deloretta

October 24, 1951 — February 20, 2021

Deborah J. DeLoretta, 69, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. DeLoretta with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Born in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Maurer and Helen Howard Maurer.

Debbie was an area resident most of her life.  She graduated from the Coatesville Area High School in 1969 and was employed by Arcelor Mittal USA of Coatesville as a Sales Representative.

As we gather to celebrate Debbie's life, it's hard to imagine that just a few short days ago she was doing what she enjoyed most -- giving Joe a hard time.

As a mother, wife and grandmother, Debbie's love had no bounds.  No request was too big or small.  Talking with her children and grandchildren and relaying stories about their successes was the highlight of her day.

She loved not just her immediate family, but all who entered into her life.  That includes the many colleagues and customers and of course, let us not forget the boxers, Zoe and Zeus.  She loved the warmth and companionship they brought and felt they helped make the house a home.

The kitchen was Debbie's domain.  She not only enjoyed decorating and cleaning it, but even more, she enjoyed cooking, baking and experimenting with new tastes and flavors.  She took the most delight watching as her creations disappeared from our plates.

Debbie enjoyed what she considered to be a simple and fulfilling life.  With no monuments or parades to remind future generations of her passion to help others in time of need, her name will soon be forgotten by many.  But that's okay.  She was a happy, giving person who truly enjoyed life's small pleasures.

Debbie will be missed. Her dry sense of humor was as unique as she was.  But in our sorrow we must remember that she loved each and every one of us.

And that's why her memory will live forever in our hearts.

In addition to her husband, Debbie is survived by four children; Gregory W. Frame and wife Candace of Northampton, PA, Brian Frame of Reading, PA, Angela Orloski and husband Walt of Oxford, PA and Brian DeLoretta and wife Abbie of Phillipsburg, PA, 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and two brothers; Raymond Maurer of Lawrenceville, GA and Dennis Maurer of Downingtown, PA.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W 2nd Ave, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.  A live stream will begin at 10:30am, which can be accessed by clicking here .
