David R. Matus

David R. Matus, 72, of Coatesville passed away at Freedom Village on Wednesday, April, 8, 2020. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Sienko) Matuszewski.

David was a graduate of Millersville University and went on to serve as an Industrial Art Teacher for nearly 40 years at Radnor School District. He was a talented Photographer and enjoyed woodworking in his free time. He also enjoyed playing bass and trombone in local jazz and big bands.

He is survived by his son Jeff Matus and his wife Jennifer of Wappingers Falls NY. Additionally, he is survived by one granddaughter; Ava Matus and two nephews; Brian and Kevin Matuszewski.

Due to the current pandemic situation, memorial services will be held at a later date.
