Daniel H. Refford

Daniel H. Refford, 81, of Thorndale, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Penn Medicine Hospice Center in West Chester.  Daniel was the beloved husband of Ruth Ann Gregor Refford with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Helen Mae Englerth Refford.

Daniel served in the US Army from 1961-1963. He lived in the area all his life, and was employed for 36 years by the former Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville as a machine operator. After retirement, he worked part-time at Advance Auto.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Fonda Pluck and husband Kelly of Westwood, Daniel Refford of Thorndale, and Lenny Refford and wife, Lixia of Chalfont, PA, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother Arthur Refford of Lancaster County. He was preceded in death by one brother Robert Refford.

Due to the current restriction on public gatherings, services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
