Daniel B. Snyder

March 18, 1939 — June 5, 2020

Daniel Boone Snyder, 81 of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, at home surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife Stella Lee Snyder with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.  He is survived by his daughters Deborah Kern, wife of Randy and Jacqueline Rineer, partner of Jacquelyn Niemiec as well as his grandchildren Ryan and Angela Kern.  He is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Barlow of Jennersville and Betty Jordan of West Grove.

Daniel was born in Trade, TN to Joseph and Lula Snyder and was the youngest (and only boy) of 8 children.  He had several jobs during his lifetime but spent the majority of his career in grounds maintenance for three well-known golf courses.  His last employer was Wyncote in Oxford from which he retired 16 years ago.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 1:00 at the Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square where he will be laid to rest near his mother and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, his daughters request that a contribution be made in his name to Hospice of Lancaster County.

With all the past experiences, memories, and emotions felt by not only him but every other life he touched, we can only wait, hope and pray that we'll see that loving and welcoming smile once more.  Sometimes people say life is unjust for taking the beauty it has created, but; it is quite the opposite.  The beauty of his life is only magnified to everyone around him and we all cannot wait to experience that beauty with him again someday.  Rest in peace and remember you are loved Daniel Snyder (Pop Pop),

Your loving grandson, Ryan Daniel Kern
