Curtis "Curtie" Thompson, 55, of Atglen, died at the Jennersville Hospital in Jennersville on Thursday, July 14, 2011.
He was born in Coatesville and was the son of Thelma E. (Mobley) Thompson of Atglen and the late Charles S. Thompson, Sr.
He attended Octorara Area schools, he loved working on cars and landscaping his mother's yard. He could liven up a party with his dancing and his laughter and he could remember everything that ever happened in his life and yours.
He attended the Grace Community Church; and, in his earlier years, he attended the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Charisse Thompson of Frazer; two brothers, James, husband of Annabelle, of Yeadon and Dennis of Atglen; two sisters, Deborah Lambert, wife of Tom, of Parkesburg, and Darlene Perry, wife of Melvin; a favorite nephew, Terrence Thompson. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Charles "Juney" Thompson and Lorraine Thompson.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Grace Community Church, 53 Hurley Road, Parkesburg. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
