Collin Feiler Mcelroy

Collin Feiler McElroy, 16, of Honey Brook, died on Sunday, July 3, 2011 as the result of injuries from an auto accident. Born in Coatesville, he was the beloved son of Troy and Pamela Spanakos McElroy.
Collin had just completed his sophomore year at Coatesville Area High School where he was a member of the high school baseball team. He also was active , for over ten years, with the Caln Little League. He enjoyed boating with his family and friends at Raystown Lake.

He is survived, in addition to his parents, by his sister Danielle L. McElroy, maternal grandparents Carol and Barry Messner of Honey Brook, maternal grandfather Andrew Spanakos of Wilmington, DE, paternal grandparents Ronald and Mary McElroy of The Villages, FL, nephew Lleyvi Wilson of Honey Brook and Collin's girlfriend, Brittney Sherriff of Downingtown. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Joyce Mendenhall.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Olivet United Methodist Church, 310 E. Chestnut St., Coatesville, PA followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Visitation at the church from 9 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Collin F. McElroy Scholarship Fund, c/o Citadel Bank, 40 N. Bailey Road, Thorndale, PA 19372.
