Christine Marie Gerhard Coates

Christine Marie Gerhard Coates, 47, loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, went home to the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2020, in West Chester, PA. She was the wife of Barry M. Coates.  Born in Quakertown, PA, she was the daughter of Robert W. Gerhard and Donna DiNenna Martin.

Christine lived in Mont Clare where she resided with her family for 17 years.  She worked for HiWay Materials and spent 21 years as a road supervisor in road construction.

She is survived by her husband Barry of Gap, her children; Krista Gerhard of MD, Blake Gerhard, David Vernon, and Alan Coates all of Mont Clare,  Mother, Donna Martin (Ken), father Robert Gerhard (Betty), five sisters; Marcie Wunder (Jim), Gina Gerhard (Rick), Patti Pacana (Mike), Stephanie Yurastis, and Stacy Sieger (Brad), 15 nieces and nephews, and 21 great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. 2nd Ave., Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

In order to protect those at-risk, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
