Christian Lloyd Sweigart

Christian Lloyd Sweigart, 87, of Parkesburg, passed away on Saturday, September 10th, 2016.  He was the husband of Mary (Rimel) Sweigart, with whom he would have shared 46 on the 12th of September.

Born in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late Mary (Esch) and Joseph Sweigart.  He served honorably in the US Army.  He had worked at the Chester County Airport and was a Brick Layer by trade.

He was a member of the Westwood Fire Co.  He belonged to St. John's Episcopal Church of Compass.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his four children: Linda Shank, wife of Don, of Wagontown, Christian L. Sweigart, widower of the late Shirley who passed in May, of Valley Twp., Bethann Sweigart of Parkesburg and Jerry Sweigart, wife of Hope, of Westwood; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and two siblings, Mabel McCoy of East Fallowfield and Richard Sweigart, husband of Judy, of Parkesburg.  He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph and Donald.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in St. John's Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.
