Charles W. Jackson, Jr.

Charles W. Jackson, Jr., 87, of New Holland, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" E. Kurtz Jackson who died in 2020. They shared over 58 years of marriage together. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Charles W. Jackson, Sr. and Daisy Means Jackson.

Charles (Chuttie) was an area resident all his life. He was owner and operator of a salvage yard and later operated his own trash and recycling business. He found Christ through the New Holland Church of the Nazarene and he later attended the LCBC Church in Ephrata, PA.

He is survived by five children; Charles L. Jackson of New Holland, Thomas Taylor and wife, Barbara of Thorndale, PA , Lawrence Barrage and wife, Linda of Paradise, PA, Robert Barrage and wife, Dee Dee, of Coatesville and Warren Barrage of Coatesville, one son-in-law Marlin Stoltzfus of Akron, PA,  four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister Melanie Jackson of Mass. He was preceded in death by one son; James, one daughter; Terri Stoltzfus and one brother Allen Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Glen Run Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
