Charles Eric "Charlie" Hicks

Charles Eric "Charlie" Hicks, 34, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Valley Township, PA.  He was the companion of Lisa Spade-Hoover of Christiana, PA.  Born in Palatka, FL, he was the son of the late Charles E. Hicks and Debra Houck Dessenberger.

Charlie worked as a laborer for a paving company.  He enjoyed billiards and competed in an APA league at Owen's Place in Parkesburg.  He also enjoyed basketball and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. He also loved a variety of foods, playing video games, and going to the Buck.

He is survived by his son, Austin Dean Slaymaker of Gap, PA, a brother, Carl Phipps Dessenberger also of Gap, a great grandmother, Mary Jane Houck of Honey Brook, PA, an uncle, Billy Ross of Atglen, PA, and an aunt Deanna Zynn of Gap.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
