Charles Andrew Mann, Iii

May 9, 1945 — June 9, 2020

Charles Andrew Mann, III, 75, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020 at the Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Christiana, Pennsylvania.  He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Bessie E. Roberts Mann Jamison, father, Charles A. Mann, Jr., stepfather, Ralph Jamison, and brother, Larry Mann. He is survived by his two sisters, Donna Mann (Karl) of Mount Joy, PA and Sharon Dazio of Parkesburg, PA, two nephews, Brian Dague (Kathy) and Eric Thomas, two nieces, Dana Newcomb (Jason) and Wendy DeSanto (Michael), and eight great nieces and nephews.

He was born in Coatesville, Pa on May 9, 1945.  He attended Olivet United Methodist Church in Coatesville, PA, and was employed with Lukens steel Company before moving to Florida, where he stayed for the better part of twenty years working in construction.  He returned to Coatesville twenty-four years ago and was employed with Black Hawk Apartments, Freedom Village, and the Exton Library.

When he was healthy, Charlie enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved nature and animals.  Helping with yard work was something he looked forward to.  His favorite place to be in Florida was in the Everglades.  He told many stories about his adventures there. He was the most resilient person we knew, fighting the good fight of failing health for many years.  He was our hero and we will miss him dearly.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
