Cecilia V. Acosta

Cecilia V. Acosta, 94, of Landenberg, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Julio Acosta who died in 2001. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eugenio Valedon and Rosa Flores Rivera.

Cecilia was an area resident since 1953. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish of West Chester.

She is survived by five children; Julio Acosta and wife Viola of Atglen, Pilar, wife of Luis Jimenez of West Chester, Alicia, wife of Hector Collazo of Landenberg, Adalina Acosta Diaz of Wilmington, DE and Ileana Regalado Acosta and husband Oscar of Kennett Square, 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and one sister Divina Lugaro of Landenberg. She was preceded in death by two children; William and Evelyn Acosta and one grandson Oscar Gabriel Regalado.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11am from the St. Agnes Catholic Church, 233 W Gay St.,  West Chester, PA followed by interment at St. Agnes Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing on Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA and also Tuesday morning at the Church from 10 to 11am.
