Catherine L. Townsend

Catherine L. Townsend, 71, of Cochranville, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown, PA. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Townsend and Elizabeth "Betty" Morris Townsend.

Catherine was an area resident all her life. She was employed by Handi Crafters in Thorndale and, years ago, she was employed by the Losifo Mushroom Corp. of Toughkenamon, PA.

Catherine was a member of the Cochranville United Methodist Church, the Cochranville Fire Company Auxiliary and the Golden Agers.

She is survived by two sisters; Betty Sheller of Gum Tree, and JoAnn McElhany and husband Steven of Cochranville, 10 nieces and nephews, 30 great nieces and nephews and 12 great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Raymond Sheller.
