Catherine F. "Kay" Whiteford

December 23, 1945 — May 19, 2024

Catherine F. "Kay" Whiteford, 78, of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Vincent W. Whiteford with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, Kay was the daughter of the late Francis Montgomery and Annabelle McHugh Montgomery.

Kay was a 1963 graduate of the Old Notre Dame High School, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.  She was employed by QVC in the customer service department.

In addition to her beloved husband Vincent, Kay is survived by her daughter Anne E. Nagy of Lincoln University, her grandchildren Vincent Lee Whiteford, Nicole Whiteford, Sydney Nagy, William Tyler Nagy, Clayton Nagy,  Annabelle Whiteford, and one great grandchild Aubrey Whiteford.  Kay is also survived by her sister Margaret Platt of West Grove, Pennsylvania and former daughter-in-law Sarah J. Whiteford of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. Kay was preceded in death by her son Sean P. Whiteford.

In Kay's own words she writes, "Anne, just by you taking care of your father and I says it all. I think the legacy that we left you, Sean, and the grandchildren is that we loved each other forever."

In addition to giving love and spending time with her family, Kay enjoyed reading, painting, crafting, spending time with her grandchildren, crabbing, and taking extended car rides with her beloved husband Vincent.

A celebration of life is currently being planned and will be announced once details are finalized.
