Cassandra B. Erkert, 65, entered into eternal rest at her home on February 12, 2016. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. (McCloskey) Erkert, who passed away in 2013. She is survived by her sons, Thomas J. Erkert, Jr. of Levittown and Daniel J. Erkert of Cochranville.
Raised in Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Margaret Smith. She graduated from St. Katharine of Siena school and was an administrative & legal professional for many years. Cassie loved rare treasures found in antique shops, decorating and gardening.
In addition to her sons, she is survived by her sister, Grace S. McBrearty (Edward) of Drexel Hill; a brother, Allan J Smith of McEwensville; brothers and sisters-in-law James and Kathleen Erkert of Honey Brook; Eric and Suzanne Streeter of Havre de Grace, MD; Richard and Katherine Miller of Lincoln University; William and Amy Erkert of Mount Penn; Gerard and Maria Obringer of Street, MD; many nieces and nephews, and one granddaughter Hayden R Erkert and loyal friends who helped Tom, Cassie and their sons during these last few years.
The family would like to thank Brandywine River Valley Home Health & Hospice.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 19th, 2016 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cassie's memory to American Cancer Society Of Philadelphia.
