Carly Marie Imbierowicz, 16, adored daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend joined the angels in heaven, Saturday, November 22, 2014.
Born in Newark, Delaware, Carly later moved to Coatesville, Pennsylvania with her family where she helped raising English Mastiffs, goats and chickens at their Highland Hope Farm. An honor roll student at Octorara High School, Carly was the junior class vice-president and was the vice-president of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
A talented athlete, she played defense for the varsity field hockey team and was selected Ches-Mont All-League Second Team. Carly also played volleyball and was defensive end for the Junior Champion Powder Puff team. A homerun power hitter on the Octorara girls softball team, she was the winner of the Phillies Homerun Derby for Octorara. In addition to working at Triple Fresh Super, she volunteered at the Jennersville Hospital and was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol.
Her amazing spirit, laughter and outgoing personality were evident to all. She loved animals, music and dancing, and her big heart touched everyone around her. “Carl” was happiest at the beach or making memories with family and friends.
Carly was passionate about helping those in need by volunteering and fundraising and was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Parish and attended Saint Malachi Church of Doe Run.
Carly is survived by her parents, Donna and Matt Imbierowicz, brother Andy, grandparents Linda and Bob Imbierowicz of Bel Air, Maryland and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Carly is now reunited with her grandparents, Pat Streett and Spencer Streett and aunt, Sarah Stump Streett. We were blessed to have her in our lives, and her bright smile will continue to shine down on us.
A Memorial Mass of Celebration will be held for Carly on Saturday, November 29th at 11:00 am at St. Malachi Church, 76 St. Malachi Road, Coatesville, PA. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Due to limited parking, a shuttle bus service will leave from Octorara High School beginning at 8:30 am until the time of mass service.
A gathering will be held after the Mass at George P. Schneider Parish Center, 10 Cemetery Road, Parkesburg, PA. A Sweet 16 Celebration for Carly is being planned for the spring.
In lieu of flowers, as Carly would have wished, the Hopes & Dreams Memorial Fund for My Little Bro, Andy, is being established.
Please continue to keep the Imberowicz and the Pointek families in your prayers.
