Carl E. Miller

Carl E. Miller, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Lancaster County Hospice Center in Mt. Joy, PA. Born in Atglen, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Preston and Jennie C. Dickinson Miller. After his mother died, he was raised by Nathaniel and Mary Dickinson.

Carl was an area resident all his life. After graduating from Scott high School in Coatesville he proudly served in the US Army. He was employed by Burnham Boilers of Lancaster.

He is survived by nine children, Mary Jane Autry of Lancaster, Deborah Baker of Lancaster, Marcella Miller of Lancaster, Bonnie Miller of Lancaster, Jeanette Miller of Lancaster, Andrea Floyd of Lancaster, Allison Dickinson of Christiana, PA, Carlos Easton of Lancaster and Carl Miller, Jr. of Lancaster, four step daughters Terri Williams, Dorothy Williams, Sandy Williams and Cindy Lou Fulmer all of Lancaster, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter Carol Stanley and five siblings; Charles Miller, Blanche Mason, Dorothy Miller, Albert Miller and Mary E. White.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11 AM at the Mt. Zion AME Church, 404 Zion Hill Rd, Atglen, PA 19310 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to also attend the viewing at the church from 9 until 11 AM.
