C. Kenneth "Ken" Patton, 78, of Wagontown, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Life Care Hospital of Chester County surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Shirley L. Patton with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Modena, PA, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Alberta Rhoades Patton.
Ken was an area resident all his life and a graduate of Scott High School. He was employed by the Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville for 42 years retiring in 1996. Mr. Patton was a member of the Hope Fellowship of Coatesville.
Ken enjoyed fishing, boating, bird watching and took pride in taking care of his lawn and gardens. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons; Kenny L. Patton and companion Brenda of Caln and Lenny E. Patton and wife Terri of West Caln, four grandchildren; Kenny Patton of Lancaster, Courteny Formica of Birdsboro, Lenny S. Patton of West Caln and Stephanie Patton of Downingtown, three great grandchildren; Dario Formica, Tristan and Addison Patton, brother-in-law Jack Leslie and wife Jeanne of West Caln, brother-in-law Roland Leslie and wife Doreen of West Caln, niece Kristie Leslie, nephews Todd and Sean Leslie and great nephew William Leslie. He was preceded in death by his sister Joan Arasin.
The family would like to thank all of Ken's friends who came to visit during his illness as well as the staff at Life Care of Chester County for their professional care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Pequea Baptist Cemetery, Gap, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 9:00 am to the time of the service.
