Betty Jane Davidson

Betty Jane Davidson, 92, of Parkesburg, passed away on October 24, 2016 at the Hickory House in Honey Brook, PA.  She was the widow of the late Walter E. Davidson who died  in 2000.  Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary M. Scantling Townsley.

Betty was a Parkesburg resident all her life and a 1943 graduate of the former Parkesburg High School.  She was employed by the Farmers Bank in Parkesburg from 1965 to 1967 and later, for 20 years, by the former J.C. Hayes, Inc. of Parkesburg as a secretary.

Betty a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and she enjoyed reading, square dancing, baking and gardening.

The family wishes to thank the staff  and nurses at Hickory House and from Holisticare Hospice that provided such compassionate care for Betty Jane.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA  followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10:00 to 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main St., Parkesburg, PA 19365 or Holisticare Hospice, 685, Kromer Ave., Berwyn, PA 19312.
