Betty Jane Bireley

Betty Jane Bireley, 86, of Pomeroy, formerly of Westwood, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 surrounded by her family at home. She was the widow of the late Benjamin F. Bireley Jr., who passed away in 2001.

She was a graduate of the Holidaysburg High School and was a member of the Coatesville Bible Fellowship. Betty was a local artist.

She is survived by two children: Benjamin F. Bireley III, husband of Barbara, of Gap, and Jane widow of Wayne Abel of Pomeroy; six grandchildren Pamela wife of Mark Shane of Caln Township, Christoper Abel of East Earl, Robert J. Eason III engaged to Elizabeth Zeminski of Pomeroy, Shannon wife of Junior Rodriguez of Parkesburg, Rebecca Bireley of Gap and Randy Able of Malvern; and two great grandchildren Jaydalynn and Olivia Rodriguez.   She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 12th at 11:00 am at the Highland Baptist Church, 1 East Highland Rd., Parkesburg, with Pastor Mike Chodan officiating. Interment will be held in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
