Barry Lee Lusby

Barry Lee Lusby, 68, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Jacob E. Lusby and Thelma R. Manning Lusby.

Barry was an area resident all his life and had attended the Coatesville School District. He was retired from LNP Manufacturing in Thorndale as a machine operator. Recently he was employed by City Gate Ministries in Coatesville.

Barry will be fondly remembered for how fiercely loving and protective he was of his family. He had a lovingly unique relationship with each of his siblings and found happiness in laughing and joking around with them, even if that meant he was the one being tormented at times. He was also unbelievably proud of his sons for their military service to our Country. If you were to ask anyone they would tell you that Barry and Nick were his pride and joy in life. He experienced the joys of being a grandfather and had a special love for his granddaughter as well. He also had a soft spot for his nieces and nephews and affectionately had nicknames or terms of endearment for each of them. He never shied away from showing his love for all of them. Barry had a love for animals and was undoubtedly favored by the family pets too. In the later years of his life, he found tremendous joy in his great-niece and great-nephews and always enjoyed visits with them or phone calls to check in on them.

In addition to his love for family, Barry loved to have a good time. For fun, he had a great time watching the horse races at Delaware Park and enjoyed catching a Nascar race or football game on TV. He enjoyed cooking and was quite the chef, too! Cooking was where his good heartedness truly shined. It was not uncommon for him to grill steaks or make spaghetti and give it all away to the neighborhood kids.

His generosity and kind heart were perhaps his greatest qualities. He would give you the last dollar in his wallet or buy you a meal if you were hungry-never once expecting anything in return. Barry lived a very simple life but was rich in what mattered most to him, which was faith and family. His greatest gift to his family was his love and loyalty. He may not have had all the answers to life, but he always showed up for the people he loved.

He is survived by one son Barry L. Lusby, Jr., one granddaughter Anessa Lusby, two siblings; tina Anderson and husband Rob and Jacob J. Lusby and wife Pat, nieces and nephews; Theresa, Michael, Gina, Bryan and T.J. and great nieces and nephews; Mila, Lorenzo and Vincent. He was preceded in death by one son Nicholas Lusby and one sister Alta "Dolly" Lewis.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg, PA. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
