Barry A. Alexander

Barry A. Alexander, 70, of Coatesville, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2020. He was the husband of Dolores L. Carr Alexander with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Amos John Alexander and Ruth E. Sagner Alexander.

Barry was an area resident all his life and a 1967 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1968 to 1972.
He was employed by Somat as an engineer.

He was an avid fisherman and was known for his abilities to handcraft his own quality fishing poles. Barry was a member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons; Michael B. Alexander of Newark, Delaware and Gregory N. Alexander and wife Natasha of Coatesville, two grandchildren Anthony Davis and Aubrey Alexander, one great grandchild and two siblings; Deb Alexander of Coatesville and Rick Alexander of Strasburg, PA. He was preceded in death by three siblings; Darlene Griffin, Jack Weaver and Donna Marie Ross.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
