Barbara A. Hunter

Barbara A. Hunter, 72, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the LifeCare Hospital of Mechanicsburg.  She was the widow of Joseph R. Hunter, who passed away in 2008 after they had shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Barbara was the daughter of the late Hazel (Nuse) and Leo Swisher.  An area resident most of her life, she was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School.

Barbara was a member of the Hibernia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Belinda J. Sheaffer of Honey Brook and Hazel D. Fitzgerald, wife of Tim, of McVeytown; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and siblings, Dorothy Miller of Parkesburg, Elizabeth Risbon of Faxton, Margaret Rowland of Coatesville, Louise Martz of Honey Brook, and Buddy Swisher of Coatesville.

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, JoAnn M. Wolfe and her sister Elsie Beam.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 11 AM at the Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320.  Family and friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following the service.

Donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Hibernia U.M. Church at the above address.
