Barbara Bennett

Barbara Bennett, 72, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph O'Connor and Lucy McKenna.

Barbara grew up in Chester County and was a 1967 graduate of the Downingtown High School. She was employed at the YMCA of Coatesville as a pre-school teacher.

She is survived by two sons; William J. Bennett and wife Andrea of Morgantown, PA and Jason Hoover and common-law wife Shelley Coleman of Charleston, South Carolina, three grandchildren, Liam, Annawyn and Branson Bennett and two brothers; John O'Connor of Atglen, PA and Billy Lensi of Elverson, PA. She was preceded in death by one brother Stephen O'Connor.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to High Point Baptist Academy Scholarship Fund (Geigertown, PA) and the ASPCA.
