Barbara Ann Lowrey

Barbara Ann Lowrey, 67, of Gap, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Ephrata Community Hospital. She was the former wife of William H. Lowrey, Jr. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion Buffington Rowan.

Barbara was employed by Schramms of West Chester as a switch board operator retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Parkesburg VFW Post 4480.

She is survived by one son William H. Lowrey, III and wife Mindi of Akron, one grandson Austin Lowrey, three step grandchildren; Callie, Kayla and Mikal and three brothers; Bill and Charles Rowan both of Mays Landing, NJ and Russell Rowan of Atlantic City, NJ. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 4:00 pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung Association, 525 Plymouth Rd., Suite 315, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
