B. Ira Needham, 102, of Honey Brook, formerly of Coatesville, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, February 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Jean E. Thompson Needham, whom he shared 60 years of marriage with before she passed away in 2011. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Benjamin C. Needham and Virginia Wood Needham.
Ike was an area resident all his life. He was employed by the Lukens Steel Company of Coatesville for 26 years retiring in 1983 as a quality control observer.
He proudly served in the US Army during WWII with the 106th Infantry Division, 591st Field Artillery Battalion. After five days behind enemy lines, they managed to move undercover at night and get back to the "safety" of the American lines.

He enjoyed hunting, playing golf, and eating at Kelly's with his nephews, closest friends and the amazing staff that treated him like royalty. Most of all, he loved spending time with family & friends, especially the grands.
